Greenbrier Cottage

My earthly home
On August 3, 2009 we moved from Bramble Creek Farm to Greenbrier Cottage. San and I bought this house when Lynnea was three and Justin was just barely crawling. Returning to this humble abode was a step of faith for me. Through this blog, I hope to preserve the journey this step of faith takes me.
Bramble Creek Farm had been in my family since 1964 when my parents purchased this 11+ acres from George and Ada Kirby. San and I moved there in October 2000 when we bought it from my parents. This had been my earthly residence for over 22 years of my life, first as a child and youth and then again as a middle aged woman. I endeavored to capture some of the beauty and charm as well as the thorns and pain of this earthy home before we passed it on to others.

Those little cakes are so sweet. Did you or Chloe make them?
ReplyDeleteThe children in my tutoring/childcare made these cakes from scratch on Valentines day a couple of years ago. We used the heart shaped cake pans my daughter gave me and decorated them with violas growing at the entryway to our home. The children and parents loved them.
