Matthew 5:14 - 16 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hell cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck-measure, but on the lampstand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
Verse for 2010
Philippians 4:12 and 13 "I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."

My earthly home
On August 3, 2009 we moved from Bramble Creek Farm to Greenbrier Cottage. San and I bought this house when Lynnea was three and Justin was just barely crawling. Returning to this humble abode was a step of faith for me. Through this blog, I hope to preserve the journey this step of faith takes me.
Bramble Creek Farm had been in my family since 1964 when my parents purchased this 11+ acres from George and Ada Kirby. San and I moved there in October 2000 when we bought it from my parents. This had been my earthly residence for over 22 years of my life, first as a child and youth and then again as a middle aged woman. I endeavored to capture some of the beauty and charm as well as the thorns and pain of this earthy home before we passed it on to others.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 "Blesses is the woman who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. She will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
Verse for the year 2008
II Timothy 2:20-21 Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if a woman cleanses herself from these things, she will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
